Preserving History Through Education

The Inland Empire Civil War Round Table (IECWRT) is an educational organization open to anyone interested in the American Civil War era. Founded in 1987, the Round Table is both a setting for formal presentations and a forum for informal discussions of topics related to the Civil War.

We publish a monthly newsletter, The Hard Tack. Meeting times and format (in-person, Zoom, “hybrid” etc.)  Please email us at iecwrt@gmail.com for information or a link to our next meeting.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Our Vision

The vision of our future is better served if we learn from our past. Let us strive to keep alive, without bias or prejudice, the understanding of the events that shaped our history.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Inland Empire Civil War Round Table is to provide a forum where those with an interest in the history of the  American Civil War era can meet to study, discuss and learn about the war that shaped our nation, and the men and women of the Civil War era, and the sacrifices they made.  We discuss and learn from each other and from our guest speakers. We believe “there are no sides on a round table” and we do not espouse any particular viewpoint. We believe in the importance of preserving and protecting the Civil War battlefields and historical places and dedicate a portion of our resources to that goal.
